The dining halls at the University of Maryland began the school year with only offering carry-out options for students, as shown by the A-frame sign outside the South Campus Dining Hall on Sept. 13, 2020. However, the dining halls started to offer limited in-person dining about a little over a month later, providing more opportunities for socializing.

The Adele H. Stamp Student Union has been consistent in making sure that students who are not living on-campus are still given opportunities to engage despite the circumstances. They offer various DIY kits that can be mailed to students' homes, and they advertise these activities through social media and in-person posters, such as the one above found on Dec. 19, 2020.

Until the pandemic comes to an end, many venues and rooms will remain empty and will miss the hustle and bustle of students, such as this vacant Baltimore Room in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on Dec. 19, 2020.
