Good/Bad Video

Bad:

This video begins with a very awkward part of an interview. No context is given except for the title, which says that a mother’s intuition helps to stop her daughter’s kidnapping. The entire video is an interview with the parents involved. There are quick cuts between sentences that interrupt the flow of the video, and the transition between cuts constantly changes from a fade to a white flash to a black flash. Only one photo was used the video, and it seemed to be placed at random. The photo had little to do with what the speaker was saying. Also, though the mother is included in the title of the video, she doesn’t say much compared to her husband.

Good:

This video was put together rather well. It is simple and concise. The graphics are clean and easy to understand. It has a nice flow. All of the transitions occur on the same beat, so no part of the video feels abrupt or dragged out. The backgrounds are simple and do not distract from the photos being used. It’s a tad bland, but it gets the point across well. Even if the story isn’t that exciting, it is assembled well.
